GT Environmental, Inc. and the City of Sidney are offering two summer internships to assist in reducing curbside recycling contamination in the city. Interns will be responsible for data collection, data management, and communications on residents participating in the city's recycling program. Positions will be overseen by Walter Workforce, GT Environmental, and the City of Sidney.
                                                   Start dates to be determined:
                                                  Approximately August-October
                          10 weeks long, Monday through Friday:  5:00 AM to 1:00 PM
                                                        80% Field, 20% Office
                                                             Pay $15.00/hour
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age by first day of internship
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Be enrolled or entering into a college degree program

Aluminum & Steel Food Cans: Aluminum food, beverage/pet food cans. Steel or bi-metal (tin) food, soup, coffee and pet food cans
The City of Kenton in Hardin County is getting ready to deliver new trash and recycling carts to their residents! The cart delivery begins this week and the curbside trash and recycling cart program starts in July! Weekly 96-gallon trash cart with 1 bulk item per week, with Every-Other-Week 65-gallon recycling cart, per residential dwelling. Letters informing residents will be sent soon and more information to come from Republic.
The recycling truck that picks up in St. Paris, on the 1st Wednesday of every month, will now be doing so at 370 E. Main Street. The truck will be on location from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. This will be effective starting July 1, 2020. The District received a grant from the Ohio EPA to expand Union Recyclers's recycling processing capacity.
